I just heard something on the radio (a chinese station, once in a million years chance!) on the way back in a cab, and it's amazing on how Aldrin is a hero. :] Yes, everyone knows Armstrong, he's the amazing man who has set foot on the moon for the first time, he was the one who said that the little step he took on the moon was a big step of the advance in technology of humans. Yet did anyone remember Aldrin? Well he's another amazing man, the partner of Armstrong. Everyone only knows Arms, because he is the first man. But no one recognises Aldrin. Yet when asked in an interview about how he feels on not being remembered, Aldrin actually replied and said that he was the first one to arrive on Earth when they arrived back, and that makes him the first to reach Earth from the moon, so all's fair.He chose not to claim for credit on being one of the first to reach moon, he allows himself to be the background man. Doesn't it makes us so inferior at times? On how we constantly strive to be better than others - even our own friends at times..? Hahaha amazing, I feel so inspired. On just being myself and doing my best, not evening bothering about what others do. :] Which is a very simple thing that people always lose sight of as we grow up and move on in life. It's 855pm now, and I'm tired. :( I didn't go for Japanese lesson today, too tired. And I didn't go for floorball too. I thought English test was long and draggy though, and I want to munch on seaweed now. Meeting maria tomorrow! <3 |
